Grockit would be a great way to support parents. If you provide links to how to videos or even videos of what is actually going on in the classroom. This tool would give them a safe space to ask questions and make comments. A concern is that it may be overwhelming to parents who are not techno savvy.

Class Dojo
|
This is a great site, particularly for the elementary level. Parents and students can create accounts, therefore having access to such behavior reports. Class Dojo gives parents direct access to what their child is doing well, along with things he/she may need to improve on. The targeted feedback is nice for goal-setting. Never having used Class Dojo, I wonder if some students would get a kick out of seeing who could get the lowest points or if it could be used to get negative attention rather than positive.

Kid Blog

Teachers can assign blog posts to their students and the students can publish their thoughts on reading assignments, class projects, discussions, lectures, etc. in a safe and secure environment. It can be used for creative writing, book clubs, science notebooks, demonstration of student learning through digital portfolios.

Teachers can assign their students a more challenging, authentic 21st century learning assignment where students have to create their own website or blog. This would be a great tool for CTI teachers and a good tool for all students of the next generation.

Teachers can send out reminders to parents about field trips, assemblies, etc. Teachers can also safely text with students about school work and send out reminders about homework.

Edublogs

Teachers can share class information through podcast, or digital newsletters. Students could also complete homework assignments, or have class discussions through the blog. Teachers could use Edublogs as a way to announce upcoming assignments, with a podcast modeling how to do the assignment.
This is a great feedback/communication tool. Students can post questions and/or comments during a particular lesson. It provides quick, anonymous feedback to teacher or presenter, while ensuring audience is included.
