Welcome to Our Multiliteracies Wiki!!!

This is a project of the Center for Adolescent Literacies at UNCCharlotte. Drawing on the work of The New London Group (1996), we seek to advance what it means to be literate by expanding our understanding of literacies and texts by providing tools for teachers and students who seek to bring teaching and learning into the 21st Century.

We acknowledge that there are many ways to think about adolescents' literacies, we have developed the following actions as themes to organize our ideas:

Researching
Creating
Communicating

Collaborating
Exploring
Sharing

Other Resources
Research and Scholarship (articles)
Lesson Plans
Other Resources (links)

We invite you to view this site and make suggestions for additional content! This site is maintained by the Center for Adolescent Literacies at UNC Charlotte in Charlotte, North Carolina but is truly a collaborative effort with much help from K-12 educators and others.

**If you have questions or comments, you can email Bruce Taylor, Director, the Center for Adolescent Literacies at UNC Charlotte at bruce.taylor@uncc.edu. **
